Armored Pyrex

Inspired from the Arms and Armor exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, this armored carrier fortifies a Pyrex glass container. Ideal for pot-luck dishes.

The Assignment

Design and make an object to be used for storage that is based on the work on view in the Arms and Armor exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Upon visiting the museum, I was immediately drawn to Japanese Armory.

The intricate patterns and the mixture of materials made for a very interesting final product. And so, the build began.
