The Colorado Table, 2015

The Colorado Table is a tribute to the state our company is currently operating in. It features a "Beetle Kill" pine live edge top with poplar crisscrossed legs.

The mountain pine beetle has been a problem in the state of Colorado for many years. The beetles inhabit the trees and leave behind a blue stain fungus into the sap wood thus giving the lumber a characteristic look. Unfortunately infested trees die and become fire risks. In 2013, the Black Forest Fire burnt 14,280 acres. The table top for this table came from Black Forest and still bare the charred bark on its sides.
